I still remember Katie Porter blowing past Maxine Waters to go to Pelosi for trying to join 3 committees. This doesn’t surprise me. twitter.com/dws________/status

This article from Adam Johnson on the Southwest debacle reminds this is everywhere, especially in sports where fans and players fight and the execs will cash in although they’re the main culprits thecolumn.substack.com/p/south

I maybe overthinking this, but I watch The Santa Clauses and I thought is this the Bob Iger story?

I watch Knives Out and Glass Onion. This is very clever and why I think Rian Johnson is one of the best directors around: the result doesn’t surprise you, but how he frames it is genius. The characters are a delight. It’s clear Rian has a vision and the message is loud and clear and make us root for the protagonists and see the wonderful chaos surround it.

Current events also play a huge role and benefits him.

This weekend: Single digit wind chills and wearing several layers of clothes (including my new onesie). A Jack Frost Christmas.

Next weekend: Highs in the 50s , even breaking 60. The hell…

Happy Kwanzaa and Boxing Day to those that celebrate.

a compilation of my favorite Christmas song: Darlene Love’s “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” from David Letterman’s shows. youtu.be/8V2IrH1owdw

It’s the Giants and Commanders tonight. Probably Washington’s most important game in 10 years. Let’s see how they perform.

Albeit it was in Qatar, that was probably the best Final in my lifetime. Argentina had a 2-0 lead and Mbappe scored to 2 in 4 minutes. They traded goals in extra time and Argentina won in PKs. Messi was already considered a legend, but winning Copa America and now the World Cup, he has become an icon. Sadly, this was on Fox and they get to do it again in 4 years for free because Rupert had a fit.

France with an epic comeback led by Mbappe. Incredible

Dos a Cero. Don’t Cry for me, Argentina, my God!

Today is the Final. I have been watching on Telemundo instead of Fox and it has been great. One thing that is bothering me is I heard Tenoch Huerta interview that in almost all Spanish TV shows, they’re light skin and pasty. Seeing the ads, he’s right. Race is not a U.S. issue; it’s a world issue.
