@mcfate He has become a caricature of himself. Guess he feels he has nothing to lose since the whole world is laughing at him.
Sad.
So, he sells, like, FIVE of these?
@mcfate @InUnfunky @Jacki What happens if he uses the money to self fund a run as a third party candidate? He's selling this crap as a private citizen, right?
The Redumblicans get their asses kicked forever, and so does he, by making the voters choose whom to waste their vote on.
@mcfate @InUnfunky @Jacki Sure, maybe that's the end result, but doesn't it let him skirt any campaign finance laws or visibility?
Absolutely not: he's a declared candidate now.
@mcfate @InUnfunky @Jacki Guess we'll find out when/if any numbers are published about how much he makes from this.
@mcfate @InUnfunky @Jacki Doesn't that seem like a problem?
@mcfate @InUnfunky @Jacki It seems like someone, let's call him Vlad, could buy a bunch of his worthless trinkets and contribute a huge chunk to his bottom line and we'd never see it.
If he tries to spend any of it campaigning, you'll see it.
I don't believe that the guy, noxious as he is, can be somehow barred from fleecing the terminally gullible, if he's not somehow defrauding them in the process.
@mcfate @InUnfunky @Jacki That's what I don't get. Selling his junk puts money in his bank. Pulling money out of his bank to fund a campaign doesn't wash it? How would you differentiate it from the other money?
Because there's accounting that campaigns are required to produce for the FEC and violating campaign finance laws gets you prison time?
I have no idea what you're looking for here. He sells steaks and puts money into a bank account. You want him barred from operating a restaurant?
You're somehow imagining Putin, who doesn't have the cash to buy ARTILLERY SHELLS, buying trading cards so he can watch Trump lose AGAIN?
First off, "Vlad" would have to go through some serious contortions to even get the money there. No bank outside Russia's doing retail business with Moscow.
@mcfate @InUnfunky @Jacki More about the how rather than the who. Could be Sheikh Moneybags. He's selling goods, putting it into a bank, and then poof, decides to self-fund a campaign, which is how he started. I just don't know if there's a way to see any of that. Sure didn't see it last time.
Why don't you go and see what the DOJ's done with politicians who use foreign money in their campaigns?
I can keep telling you about required FEC paperwork and the existence of campaign finance laws again, but you've ignored me three times already.
@mcfate @InUnfunky @Jacki I i didn't ignore it, I'm just not sure it's relevant if the campaign didn't raise the money. He self funded the beginning of his campaign using money he had. We still haven't seen how he got that money. Guess that's why lawyers make the big bucks.
My bottom line is that anyone who imagines that dimwit will be more attractive to the 2024 electorate than he was to 2020's DESERVES to lose their money.
@InUnfunky @mcfate @tmbrown327
Thanks; I read that earlier...grifter's gonna grift.
Is that what started the convo?
I blame Xfinity! Phone and cable were down. π

LOL Nevermind!
Here's another one we can talk about, 6 months ago...π π
@InUnfunky @mcfate @tmbrown327
Yup, read that too. Thanks π
@tmbrown327 @InUnfunky @Jacki
He's going to have to report a bottom line sum of the money he's received to the FEC, not the specific campaigns he used to raise it.
