Ripped up the carpet in my old (1911) house. Surprise! Heart pine floor. Crew just finished couple days ago. Before, middle, end. Neat. https://counter.social/media/ucmD0dWhbB5650sdJgM https://counter.social/media/1H_1mfyYjIbRoNav3Hk https://counter.social/media/UCcR9GoweIO1C7fqJNc

@tmbrown327 ahh that's cool.. never seen those before.
I had a 1924 craftsman house that had gumwood built in cabnets and wood floors. The glass in the windows was lead and so old that the windows were dripping or melting looking. Cool place it was on a canyon and looked out through eucalyptus trees. So it was like a treehouse. but, it was full of mold and got me sick so I had to move..
It had these shake shingles that were covered with asbestos in the 70s. held in all the moisture.
@tmbrown327 it was too expensive to remove so it just got painted over.
@Bemet_Or The paint on this floor was lead. Glad it’s gone now.
@Bemet_Or Sounds like a good looking place, probably cozy. Too bad about all the hazard.
@tmbrown327 Lucky find! They look great.
@tmbrown327 Wow, that is a spectacular find! Looks perfect, so warm & inviting.
@Sheree Thanks, my wife was thrilled, me too. We were gonna put in hardwood. Saved a boatload.
