1st time I ever heard of The Rapture was when 2 "born again" cops were discussing religion while on a stake-out. I heard the word, rapture, and wondered what it was, so they explained it to me. I never learned about it in catechism, so I read up and realized that it was barely mentioned in Revelations. Importantly, Jesus had said that no one can know what God is thinking, thus the date or time of the rapture will forever be unknown to man. Yet, man predicts it. Haw! Happy 4-8-2024! Good luck!

@tirebiter73 So, it can't happen unless idiots stop predicting it?

Oh no.

@tirebiter73 Chapter and verse: Mark 13:32: "But about that day or hour no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." If the angels in heaven don't know, it's a safe bet that no grifty TV preacher knows, either.

@KamloopsBob thanks, last read the old and new testament when I first retired in early 2001. I decided that I should be more spiritual. Didn't take, except I was amazed at how much of our language references the bible.
