Neon has finally revealed the main official trailer for Steven Soderbergh's ghost story film #Presence. This first premiered at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival and is a chilling flip on the haunted house concept - it's a shot-in-one-location thriller about a family that moves into a new home.
The rest of the story must not be spoiled just WAIT FOR IT.
It stars Lucy Liu, Chris Sullivan, Callina Liang, Julia Fox, Eddy Maday, and West Mulholland.
Been playing the Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days demo that just came out today. I am really loving this game and I am looking forward to the full release!
The game that is taking up most of my time is #MAESTRO in VR. You get to conduct a friggen orchestra and what's better than that?????
If you're not into such things that's fine. It just means the game isn't for you and that's fine too.
Find what excites you. Find what works for you and ticks your boxes and enjoy it.
Now if they made a #DragonAge game that was a squad based, turn based, strategy, deck builder RPG I would be there with BELLS ON ❤️ But they never will and there are plenty of those games out there for me to play. I'm not going to impose my wants and wishes on a game that is clearly an action RPG.
I think people need to step back and relax and find games they actually like instead of shitting on games they don't.
It just makes zero sense to me and is a waste of time and energy.
I like the fast paced combat in #DragonAge, I like the voice work, I like the graphics especially on a high end rig like mine and the monster 55" gaming screen I have. It looks AMAZING and runs like a dream. I can't speak for the plot because I only got through the prologue so far. It is fine. I had fun. It's pretty. The character creator is EXTENSIVE ... I think I was creating my character longer than I actually played the game 🤣 I will probably go back to it tomorrow 👍🏾
The keyword being ... GAME.
It's a game and there are THOUSANDS of games out there that probably many people don't even know exist because they don't branch out of their preferred boxes. That's fine but not every game is designed for your preferred boxes and if you're waiting around for that perfect game that gives you want you want you may not find it. You may need to branch out and try new things instead of imposing your selfish wants on games that may not be for you.
I played DragonAge Veilguard for about ... 30 minutes before I got bored and switched to something else. At the moment I just don't feel like running around in a large world but I might tomorrow or over the weekend. I'm in the mood for something that is a bit more cerebral and DragonAge is more of an action RPG which just isn't want I want to experience RIGHT NOW. That doesn't mean it's BAD. It just means I may come back to it later when I'm in a more action rpg mood. It's FINE as a game.
Not every game is made for every gamer ... I'm not sure why that needs to be said. It's important for you to figure out what boxes you have that need to be ticked in order to get whatever you want to get out of your gaming experience. Games are made by developers for a variety of reasons and a variety of different types of gamers, that doesn't make them bad just because they may not appeal to you. Find something that does. There's a bazillion kinds of games out in the world.
I'm just glad to have games TO PLAY at this point given how badly the gaming industry is collapsing and also how racist, phobic and utterly rancid the gaming community has become in the past decade. I'm not going to complain about something that isn't 1000% perfect to my standards. I like gaming for a variety of reasons and I have 25 games CURRENTLY in my Steam library that I have yet to play. I'm not aching for games. DragonAge is FINE for me and if I get tired of it I will play something else.
I can't really give any kind of impression of #DragonAge at this time because I'm not really into it yet. So far it's ... basic? But I'm going off of playing Dragon Age games since the first one in 2009.
DragonAge changes. It always changes and shifts up and you have to kind of take it how it comes. The Bioware of the golden gaming age is long gone and there is no point lamenting that. Long gone are the Mass Effect 2 days and the DragonAge Inquisition days ...
DragonAge is ... rough ❤️ but it runs really well and I'm only just getting started with it. It's been over a decade since the last one so I'll take whatever at this point obviously 🤣
#BIBI is really bringing the epicness when it comes to her work outside of music.
She's being cast in several things since 2021's Whispering Corridors 6 (which I have talked about a ton and it's a must see). She is a very theatrical performer and her music (which she writes herself) reflects the multitudes of who she is well. She is gaining rave reviews for her roles in 2024s Gangnam B-Side and The Fiery Priest 2.

Getting all of my priorities in order at the end of 2024 is key.
Many things are going to change by next year and most of them may not be for the better. I have to ensure that I'm in the best position mentally, physically, and spiritually to be able to continue forward no matter what happens in the world or with my health ...
Taking the past few months and the past few days to get everything in order has been worth the time, effort, and energy.
Do what you need to do for you. Make the time.
When you break things down into energy expenditure - and that includes mental energy - you start realizing that a lot of the things that hinder you or keep you from moving forward have to do with too much expenditure in the wrong areas and not enough expenditure in the areas that you need. Many people waste so much time getting ready to do things that they don't have the energy to actually do them.
I only use energy for the things I NEED to use it for. I don't waste energy on inefficiency.

I use tech for this reason as well.
The less things I need to think about, the less steps it takes to get something done, the more likely it is that everything I need to do will get done.
With #chronicpain and #chronicillness every single spoon matters. Every expenditure of energy has to be chosen carefully.
If I can press ONE button that turns on my lights, starts the coffee maker, turns on the TV, opens the blinds, and all I have to do is step on the treadmill, that's only 1 spoon.

The planning and the effort to get things setup over the past several days was also exhausting in it's own way but in the end it was worth it because going forward it will be much less stressful to get something done that needs to get done.
The effort you put into making the time to ensure things go smoothly and don't have unnecessary obstacles is key to staying on track and establishing routines that you're more likely to stick with.
Planning is everything.

It was worth 3 days and moving the sauna which took 2 of us. In that 3 days I really pushed my body and hurt myself but it was necessary to ensure that exercise could be done quickly and effortlessly and not be hindered by anything.
The ONLY thing I have to move is the cat exercise wheel to access the treadmill and that's something I can do quickly with one hand. Everything is available and I have plenty of space for my VR workouts especially now that the #RotoVR will be arriving soon.

One of the biggest obstacles for me is exercise due to #chronicpain and limited space. I have tons of equipment but it wasn't always accessible.
If I'm in a pain flare but have to exercise, I'm less likely to do it if I have to spend 20 minutes putting together some equipment that had to be broken down for storage or if I have to lift 15lbs to bring something in from another room.
I want to be able to just walk over, get on and do what I need to do.
Making space for that took 3 days.
