#LeeMujinService is a show that showcases the talent of individual kpop idols. He was inspired to create the show after hearing Lia of ITZY solo and decided he wanted to make a show that highlighted the amazing talents that often gets buried in group dynamics.
His latest show featured #Ahyeon of #BABYMONSTER who, at 17, is such an amazing singer, rapper, dancer. If you want to hear something amazing ... her cover of Olivia Rodrigo's Vampire is at 5:40 ... goosebumps.❤️
Something that struck me about Ahyeon's amazing personality was her expression about wishing to not separate Ahyeon the person from Ahyeon the singer which is something that I don't hear many idols articulate. Many idols are part of groups with specific images and they are trapped in the kpop machine having to perform a certain part or embody a persona that may not be theirs. The fact that Ahyeon already aspires to be one whole person gives me great hope for her future as a solo artist. ❤️
#Katriinka is a vocal coach who works with singers and young artists and she does amazing honest and professional critiques of musicians and kpop idols. I love her content because she is open, supportive, but she also gives real critiques on their voices based on their age, training, and natural talents. This video is about Ahyeon's performance on Lee Mujin's show.
Katriinka's channel is a wonderful resource for people who don't think kpop idols have any talent or ability to sing (which is insanely untrue) or have no ability to recognize individual talent outside of the boring group dynamics they are forced into for most of their career. She helps people to understand that many of these girls have sick amounts of real vocal talents and, as I'm always saying, it's their agencies that don't allow them to have an individual focus.
