If you are ... surprised by anything going on out in the world I think you should adjust that emotion to something more realistic and appropriate.
Surprise implies that you have not been paying attention to anything for the past decade.
Surprise implies that you have zero idea of what reality is like outside of your own.
Surprise implies that you don't realize the truth.
I can assure you those of the #GlobalMajority are not surprised by any of this.
Rethink your responses to reality.
So stop with the "omg" and the "shocked" and the "I can't believe" nonsense.
Though ... I suppose the "I can't believe" is pretty accurate. People not believing the lived experiences of the #GlobalMajority is part of the reason we're here now.
The time for that is gone I think.
Reframe.
Rethink.
Wake up.
@thewebrecluse is resisting. Have to for family and friends and lived ones.
@thewebrecluse loved ones
@thewebrecluse I’m not surprised. Disgusted, yes. Angry and deeply disappointed in us as a country. Bracing myself for the worst because I know there’s nothing to stop them from making good on their threats. But I’m not surprised.
@Helena_Handbasket If what I said doesn't apply to you, then ignore it. There's no need to explain yourself.
For members of the #GlobalMajority these ... "surprised" and "shocked" responses are ... irritating and a little ridiculous.
It's already exhausting existing in a reality that the majority of the population never seemed to believe was real or even cared about. Many members of the #GlobalMajority have been expressing the truth of their lived reality for a very, very, long time to deaf ears or, more accurately, disinterested ears.
You shouldn't be surprised.
It's the LAST thing you should be.
