@AskTheDevil I'm not familiar with the source material and remember the reason I like stuff is specific to me. I wouldn't put much stock in my opinions as we watch media for different reasons. You should check it for yourself ❤️

I'm older than the bible. I've seen Shakespeare in rocket ships and Greek plays performed by women. We can tell different versions of stories!
If art always remained exactly like its source, we'd merely get withered lines from old ghosts, fading as they are reproduced over and over, like old mimeos.
Retelling stories in new ways is how stories remain alive.
@AskTheDevil I don't know any of the leads. In fact I think one of the main guys has only been in 2 things so far in his career. It's a completely new experience for me which is why I am enjoying what it's giving. It feels new, very different, very genuine, very UK, and just full of quality so far. I enjoyed the first episode and will probably watch it all.

@thewebrecluse Oh I will. There's clearly media you enjoy that isn't my personal cup of tea, but I've noticed that on the things that we both like, your reaction to whatever it is tends to be a good indicator, and I think for similar reasons.
I don't need something to stick tightly to source material as long as what is shown is good on its own, and the actors are good in their roles.
