Why are there no physical voice recorders that have cloud storage?
I'm looking for one for my dad to record some stories when I'm not there ... and I want something that automatically uploads to the cloud so I can access them. It blows my mind that there is no physical device that offers this ...
Everything is tied to a phone (which he has trouble using) or on the PC (which is also kind of a hassle for him).

I had the exact same thought last week. I know an older writer who’s hands shake too much to type. I wished for the same device you are talking about.
@GreenCheese There are plenty of voice activate programs and also voice to text type applications for PC ... including things like Evernote and a handful of decent applications for those with specialized needs in that regard.
There were so many voice recorders on the market but all of them only offer to save to an SD card which I would have to physically go and get from my Dad.
I am looking for something that he can talk into and it saves to the cloud.
@thewebrecluse
Looks like you will have to invent it
@GreenCheese unfortunately I don't have hardware skills, only web based ones ... so I'm working on a website that will provide simple functionality for my dad and that will do everything I need it to do.
@thewebrecluse
That sounds like a good solution
@GreenCheese the only problem is the recording quality will be low due to trying to do it online 😭
Anything that requires my father to interact in any way with a PC isn't going to work. But thank you.
@sumpnlikefaith impossible actually.
@thewebrecluse Sigh. Tricky challenge!
