This quote from Mushiya lives rent free in my head. I was always about schedules, even as a child, but after hearing this and really taking it in, I evolved into someone way more efficient.

I always had goals. I was never a dreamer.

Even growing up in a prison residing in a Hell made by mentally unstable parents ... I wasn't dreaming of life outside of it. I was making PLANS.

I was readying myself, grounding myself daily, studying, reading philosophy, understanding the monsters who abused me, and deciding who I was going to become and how I was going to life ... from age 11 onwards.

I was always a goaler - Mushiya's favorite term - I was always thinking ahead.

As a child my goals were based on just surviving/getting to an age where I had more freedom and more rights and just using my time wisely until then to stay strong, stay sane, and finding strength to endure. It was about patience and learning to WAIT.

As an adult it became more about knowing EXACTLY what I wanted and planning out step, by step, everything I had to know, understand and do in order to achieve a specific goal. It is now more about efficiency and learning to DO.

From the moment my eyes open in the morning, I'm following a very specific schedule depending on the day of the week.

That schedule is based on things I have learned about what my body, mind, and spirit need to function best and it only changes when new information is determined from all the data I collect about myself and what I'm doing and whether it's working as intended.

My schedule is set in what it is meant to do but it's also flexible to account for any changes from day to day.

The results in how I'm feeling physically, mentally, and spiritually are never surprises. Whether I'm going to achieve my daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly goals is also not a surprise.

Predictive analytics is a huge component in my data work but at this point in my life, I know myself well enough to be able to adjust things accordingly and keep all the steps towards my goals moving in a forward direction with very few interruptions.

Plans are necessary for any significant life change.

I will add that I probably wasn't a DREAMER as a child because I had undiagnosed 😂 🤣 It explains a lot about why I was very focused on tangible goaling that I wrote down in my journals regularly and not imagining things in the blank space of my mind. I simply wasn't capable of it.
