And speaking of #opera ... there are some AMAZING productions coming up that will be available FREELY on OperaVision; one of the greatest things on the Internet that I have been supporting since 2016.
Leoš Janáček's "From the House of the Dead" is an opera translated and adapted by Janáček from the 1862 novel by Dostoevsky. It was Janáček's last opera.
Streaming live on 11/6
Sung in Czech with English subtitles.

Another must see #opera coming to OperaVision ...
The Listeners.
"Missy Mazzoli and Royce Vavrek's brand new opera is a thriller about social rejection, the abuse of power and echo chambers. Based on an original story by Jordan Tannahill, The Listeners is inspired by an identified phenomenon, the ‘global hum’. Grammy-nominated Mazzoli was the first woman to be commissioned by the Metropolitan Opera."
Sung in English
Just a reminder that The Listeners is streaming live on Friday, November 11th and will be available to watch on Youtube from then until May 2023.
Based on an original story by Jordan Tannahill, The Listeners is inspired by an identified phenomenon, the global hum. This is an #opera for our times about our search for belonging, understanding the incomprehensible, and how charismatic leaders can exploit our longing for connection.
I was busy during the streaming premiere of #TheListeners but I hope to finally be able to sit down and enjoy this intriguing modern #opera this afternoon.
If you happened to miss it as well, it will be available for FREE streaming on YouTube for a while. You have plenty of time.
Likewise, many of the operas I've been raving about for the past few months you can also see online freely thanks to OperaVision.eu, a site I have wholeheartedly supported since 2015.
