Leoš Janáček's "From the House of the Dead" is an opera translated and adapted by Janáček from the 1862 novel by Dostoevsky. It was Janáček's last opera.

It's opera day! Today is the premiere of The Listeners, a new #opera based on an original story by Jordan Tannahill.
Unfortunately, I'll be filming B5 this afternoon, so I won't be able to live toot the performance as I did with #OrpheusOpera (i know many of you are happy about this probably 😂) I am really looking forward to watching it later on, it seems like an intriguing story. Modern opera is always kind of fascinating.
