The H3irloom Food Group in Baltimore, Maryland, is making the food contributions of Black culture known by incorporating education into their catering, pop ups, and other dining experiences.

Executive chefs David and Tonya Thomas highlight the origins of African American influence on food in the U.S. and the culinary contributions of African Americans like James Hemings, one of Thomas Jefferson's slaves who became the first American to train as a chef in France.
