Honestly the sad hard truth is, I would never trust a simple voting dropbox out in the open, in any city today. There are way too many things that can go sideways.
I came from TX and the mail delivery was compromised... the slowest delivery... and they didn't have ballot tracking. So moving to WA has been wonderful- excellent voting guides, ballot tracking from drop off- but it's all mail-in. I dropped off my ballot at the ballot drop inside the County Election Office. But there are many drop boxes that are outside. Waiting to see if we can volunteer to be Ballot Box Guards for the next few days.
@thereg001 I grok your feelings. I mail from my mailbox so I check to see if it's been received. A good idea in any transport of vote situation I fear in our current world!
