After having a bald (growing hatchling) baby bird die not long after I found him near death in my driveway. The next morning I was delighted and happy to see two fledgling Blue Jays in my back yard. :) Nature and life can be cruel and lovely at the bat of an eye. Here are a few pics if the blue jay babes...
