True story.
When I was pre-teen and diagnosed with T-1D it was still commonly thought and told to me that I wouldn’t make it passed 40-50 years old due to the unavoidable effects and complications that come with being a diabetic.
Well, here I am bitches! Alive and well and not too much worse for the wear of my peers my age that are diabetes free. I have to be honest, I probably look and feel a lot better than most of my old classmates in high school, and that was some time ago.😎🙃
@thereg001 I'm type 2 and the leaps and bounds in medications have made a massive difference to me as well.
I am happy that you've found a medication and treatment that works well for you. It's a challenge for sure be a T2 or T1.
I am cautiously optimistic that some day there will be a true cure. In the meantime my health insurance plan and my bank account will continue fund the research and for profit medical devices companies. 😆
Now science and treatment has come a long way for diabetes patients. Like many things it has a lot to do with your mindset.
