: Bangladesh is in for another long road. That said, what few people I know there or in southern India are glad she's gone. They also fear a situation similar to the violent chaos in Myanmar.
: Last time I cooked a lot of food with my left hand only was September 1988 through September 1990. That's when a hit-and-run while I was on my bike wound up fucking up my right wrist's fine manipulation for the better part of two years.
That's the same wrist that was surgically reconstructed in 2012.
As I said, I live #edgyAF.
: Oh, and I sliced open something wicked the end of my index finger last night. Found that hard way a small blade that'd come loose from a slicer. You know it's a goodie when you don't feel the cut but see the blood after about 3 seconds of going about your business. (IKR!)
It's about .75cm and near perfectly straight across the top of my index finger on my right hand. It's only sore this morning. Direct pressure and over-heart elevation while I finished cooking and meal prep did me well.
: Slept for only 4 hours. Bizarre.
Anywho, decided to go ahead and breakfast and get started with el dia. A siesta will likely occur late morning or early afternoon.
: In other domestic news, a project supervisor is coming out on Wednesday morning to check on the water mediation installation. I sent them a few photos of what looks to be where a few creases and small gaps seem to have gotten a little larger along one ~6m section along the wall of the basement. I'm not alarmed or anything, because it'd be ridonkulously unusual for any project that had that much demo and reconstruction go totes perfectly at the go.
: Kitchen rearrangery proceeds well apace. I can tell I'm close-ish because it's no longer really, really bothering me whenever I am within eyeshot of or in the kitchen. So I reckon I'm in the Bringing-It-All-Together phase, which is nice.
2/2: ...nearly $700K down from his initial investment spread in crypto.
He's not crying, though. Kenneth's still worth several million in accessible cash. He's got much more assets value in in real estate, stonks, and annuities. (He inherited some of it from his parents, or so we were told. He made loads of cash programming and coding before and after Y2K.)
Kenneth was okay, though he smoked an *awful* lot of weed and smelled so.
1/2: A fairly cool and laid-back dudebro from my old filmmaking circle in CLT back in 2013/14 bought into crypto pretty serious in 2018, I recently heard. He's got actual money and has lots of diversified investments, but Mitzi posted on one of Those Other Social Media Sites that Kenneth's has sworn off crypto.
The $1mn he invested in a few CCs, and all but one did fairly well (on paper) through 2022. Alas, at the start of this spring all the slides and such left him down at $333K, i.e.,...
: Basementry proceeds well apace. When I got here last October you could not see the front of the basement from the back of it here. Boxes of junk and crap were stacked all over, and the basement flooded during/after most rains that lasted more than two hours.
You can see back to front, and there's no more flooding. Also, all the lights have actually worked since February.

: I watched this movie late yesterday evening, and I think you all should watch it, too. Not even the trailers give it away. The trailers do not lie, and they don’t give it away.
I watched it for free on Amazon Prime. It’s a UK import of Nigerian descent, And I haven’t seen many like it ever. (I don’t mean I haven’t seen UK or Nigerian movies. I mean a horror movie that deals well more than one kind of horror *and* makes a statement soundly.)
