: I am always the last to find out the bad news about old friends.
One of my best friends growing up murdered one of my other best friends from that era, though not in high school. Apparently they'd a falling out after I moved in 1986. They fell out over a girl they both liked. (She chose neither of them. Anyway...)
Andy shot and killed Bo in 2002. It seems they couldn't help but be assholes to one another since the 1987. Bo smarted off at Any at Hardee's. Andy had a .45 in his car.
@MookyTroubadour: I didn't avoid them. They were my friends. I moved because my mom remarried. I'd known both of them since second-grade. I dunno what happened to them, but the whole "I'm gonna do murder" thing by Andy caught everyone by surprise, especially his wife and son, not to mention Bo's wife and daughter.
It was like finding out in 2018 that my bestie, a class clown like me, in middle school murdered three people in ~1996 over a sports argument at a bar. Like, WTAF?
@MookyTroubadour: No, they weren't fighting over her years later. They held grudges against one another over it, though, much of it over shit they pulled and said to and about one another during the competition over Robin. (That was the girl's name. They both liked her, but she wasn't into either of them. She wound up with one of the all-state football players anyway.) The technical term for what happened between Andy and Bo is "spiraling".
@thedisasterautist wow. And then wow some more.
@thedisasterautist wait- both of these guys were married with kids? And the dispute was over some girl who was neither wife?
Was there for sure no more to it?
