@FrankCannon: He regaled us with some stories back in 1987. That's the one and only time I met him, when he was traveling the US with the Doctor Who USA Tour. I also got to have dinner with him and his wife, not part of the exhibition but because they were super nice and because two friends of mine and I helped set-up and tear down the event. That's how I learned of The Navy Lark. :)
He was a proper action movie start, really.
@grayman @FrankCannon: Technically, he's the first Doctor I ever saw, though it was only for maybe a second or two.
The first episode I ever saw was Episode 1 of "Robot", Tom Baker's first story. I saw the last moment of Three's regeneration into Four.
