: All this discussion and navel-gazing about Biden stepping aside/down and such is on one hand amusing and on the other puzzling. I say puzzling because it's just adding fuel to a fire that isn't there, which does nothing but help the Republicans and Trump, however slightly.
"It's just a thought experiment" I keep hearing, to which I respond, "Leave it there then, and don't verbalize it or put it into print." At this point, it's almost certainly not harmless.

And for the record, I'm not a Biden fan and never have been. This is a case not only of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" but also of "the enemy of my enemy is a dangerous, openly demented and power-mad dictator wanna-be with millions of dupe and marks, several fascist billionaires, about half of Congress, over half of the Supreme Court, several national and international media companies, and the national alt-white on his side".
I'd rather Uncle Joe than Joffrey Baratheon.
