@LowEndMuse: I put all that together during my freshman year of college. The development and growth of the internet and of social media and their amoeba-ing of all other media took it supernova.
In 1990, a bestie of mine said the internet would bring people together and enlighten the world, and I said no that it would only allow people to do what they've always done, just faster, cheaper, and to absurdly larger audiences. And that was *before* social media.
Humans are humans.
