@sanau: Oh, yeah, when and if people up and told or yelled at me that they couldn't stand me and didn't want me around at all I got the picture, but when they were being sarcastic, petty, sniping, etc. at me I didn't pick up on it. (I didn't start to understand the science of subtle digs and mean sarcasm until late in my high school senior year.)
@thedisasterautist I have no doubt that I missed a lot of subtle social cues, but, having been raised by New Yorkers, I learned to recognize sarcasm fairly early on. 😄
@thedisasterautist For me, at least with other girls, there was never any question that they disliked me. They always made it abundantly clear. I was just never able to figure out *why*, when I was trying so hard to make friends.
