: What scares people who go on and on about how they "scare the hell out of people"?
Be yourself, but coincidentally be someone that doesn't faze you because you don't react to their scripts because you don't follow them anyway. I don't mean actively try to dodge their script. I mean legit be unfazed and function just fine.
That bothers the shit out of them, and they will react accordingly.

: With exception so rare that it doesn't rate mention, people who post up loads about how special, abnormal, unconventional, frightening to "the straights", etc. they are are masking. (I'm sure this is not news to many.) Some will, when out of public view with you, level with you and be themselves and perhaps strike up a pleasant acquaintanceship with you. More than half, however, tend to ditch ASAP or get aggressive to assert their "personal truth", and things can get gnarly.
