Spent sometime on a video call with the 8 remaining members of the first squad I was in today. We spoke of things only we know. There were laughs and sadness, stories only we know, seen through the eyes of boys that had no idea how it would effect them forever. I was 17 but seemed much older. I thanked every single one of them for saving my life, and laughed when 1 said I was too pretty to die.

@Lavransdattar Truthfully I set up the call because it is usually one of the most awkward days of my year. I wanted to try to fix that and make peace with those years the best I can.
