Poor, poor pitiful πŸ€“

Change the lyrics to satirize those jerkoffs' predicament. Best wins some cute lil' emojis. Have fun!

I've played out Z's '76 and '78 albums, better to go with Bad Luck Streak in Dancing School. The Eagles play on it, they were a decent band.

@Bix @InUnfunky @tgraph52 @CanisPundit @Charles_Hawtrey You might argue for the songs on "Bad Luck...," but I like the backing band on "Sentimental Hygiene" better (and "Detox Mansion" is a bop!)

I see that the Hindu Love Gods started playing live shows in 1986 and released one 7 inch, as the Brits call their 45's, in '86.

I always find it remarkable that Mick Fleetwood and John McVie were the rhythm section on Werewolves of London, along with Zevon buddy Waddy Wachtel.

I bought that album when it was new and still have it unless it was stolen along with many others during a move which is what I think as I haven't noticed it while looking through my LP's. It had top notch players all throughout.

Bob Glaub- bass

Jeff Porcaro- drums

Warren Zevon - Night Time In The Switching Yard

I picked that up new too and we played Lawyers Guns and Money and Johnny Strikes Up the Band from it.

Then I found his earlier LP in a cut-out bin for $1. I like that one better than Excitable Boy really.

I used to do Lawyers, Guns and Money too, always a crowd pleaser along with just being fun to play. I love the whole Excitable Boy album, my local, WBCN played the crap out of it, they probably had half the album in rotation. I've heard the earlier one, I'll have to pick it up again.

@Charles_Hawtrey @t_heislen @Bix @InUnfunky @CanisPundit

The earlier one is a little remarkable for having 4 songs on it that Linda Ronstadt covered.

@tgraph52 @t_heislen @Bix @InUnfunky @CanisPundit

Yeah, I knew she did a few covers from Warren. I may even have the CD, I have a lot of his stuff.

Hasten Down the Wind
Poor Poor Pitiful Me
Mohammed's Radio
Carmelita

and there's one even before that.. but it's really not that good

@Charles_Hawtrey @tgraph52 @Bix @InUnfunky @CanisPundit I still play Lawyers near the end of the night sometimes - mentioning that it might remind people of someone's sons who show up in the news now and again....

I hope they allow him to use Big Bottom... Gotta love 3 basses at the front of the stage, one being a double neck

@tgraph52 @t_heislen @Bix @InUnfunky @CanisPundit

Waddy hated it along with Zevon, it was a throwaway and they were aghast when the record company picked it as a single. πŸ˜‚
