The Netflix "Three-Body Problem" seems off to a solid start, and there's something to be said for the faster pacing.

They split the Wang Miao character into two separate people, it seems: Auggie, who makes nanofibers, and Jin who's friends with (arch-traitor of humanity) Ye Wenjie.
@mcfate I am reading the trilogy right now. almost through the second book. I really liked the netflix series. I understand that changes were made to make it more accessible to the general public.
It's a pretty deep, slow read. It takes patience and it doesn't move fast, except in a couple of places where events dictate otherwise.

My impression is we'll have to wait for Season 2. That's okay, I've got other things to watch.
Apparently, I can watch "One Piece" cartoons until the end of time.
