And it needs to be presented as a power move: "Every conversation I've had with this man has been an entirely fruitless, and -- let's be honest -- painful experience. I believe in freedom and democracy, and I simply don't believe those are up for debate. My time would be much better spent doing the actual work it takes to lead."
