So I had a bit of an epiphany yesterday. This is kind of a long one so bear with me.
After seeing a few clips from Trump's public appearances, I was wondering why the GOP can't see how bad he's getting. I mean, he's never been that intelligent or articulate, but his mental decline in the last couple of years is glaringly obvious.
The MAGA bunch who go to his rallies, believe everything he says and pretend he looks like Rambo, I can understand their turning a blind eye.

@nonayadambidnes I think the 3D chess bit (or 4D, or 5D depending on the speaker's obsequiousness) is particularly fascinating.
Trump spouts dots. He's a dot dynamo. His dots are antagonistic, demeaning, self-aggrandising yet also saturated with martyr-complex.
His audience connects those dots however they see fit, and it makes them feel like they're part of it -- insiders with special code-breaking abilities.
So many cults have operated on this paradigm. Nonsense merely adds to the mystique.
@sumpnlikefaith The idea that they think he's capable of coming up with these intricate plans like some sort of Jedi master is laughable. This is the dude who drew on a hurricane map with a sharpie when someone fact checked him.
Whoever started the whole Q BS is to blame for a lot of it. Just when people started to think, "Is this guy an idiot?" suddenly Q shows up saying, "No he meant something but we can't tell you what. Here's a cryptic clue, just wait and it will be revealed eventually!" 🙄
