@NiveusLepus Pretty good. Got Mum to her hospital appointment. Listening to funkeh moosik while I wait for her.
@stueytheround Is your Mom alright?
@NiveusLepus Yes n no. Took a fall. Big bruises thanks to blood thinners. They're running the usual bloods to make sure everything's working to spec. She's fine in herself but *very* sore.
@stueytheround A fall on blood thinners can look gnarly and feel worse. Wishing her a quick healing.
@NiveusLepus She's a 21 year old soul in a 77 year old body. I feel for her. It's horrible.
@stueytheround My Dad has severe Parkinson's that's definitely a mood.
You being present will make the difference. I know it doesn't seem like much, but having someone there doing what can be done will see her through.
@NiveusLepus The nurse just pretended to spank her for not calling an ambulance. π€£
@stueytheround That's a proper nurse.
@NiveusLepus @stueytheround As a nurse, I approve
@TetsuKaba @stueytheround If you can't threaten your patients with violence why even be a nurse ? :P

Update.
Hemoglobin 81!
Now trying to work out how to get that back up while not clogging up her mechanical heart valve.
This just got compicated. The senior doctor is with her now. They're going to sort it out.
@stueytheround @TetsuKaba They'll see her sorted. With blood thinners its always a bit of a dance.
@NiveusLepus @TetsuKaba She's going to be ok. They've found a workaround it seems.
Just in Xray now to triple check no breaks from the fall. They're crossing the T's and dotting the I's. We are so ridiculously fortunate to have the NHS.
@stueytheround @TetsuKaba Sounds like she's getting great care! I'm grateful you all have that kind of access.
@stueytheround @NiveusLepus There are idiots that want to privatize it.
@stueytheround @NiveusLepus @TetsuKaba
If she is bruised, rather than actually losing the blood, eventually the bruise clots, reliquefies, and then the iron is removed and recycled. If she able to get around without too much shortness of breath, the problem will sort itself out in a few weeks.
@AlphaCentauri Thanks. That's essentially what we were told by the docs.
@stueytheround Good morning Stuey! How's your day?
