Lancet publishes a letter claiming that Palestinian deaths could reach 186,000. Hamas claims 38,000 total.
Not a peer reviewed paper, just a letter.
On social media and in the UN that number has become established fact.
My own estimated number is somewhere between 25,000 and 30,000 with 2/3rds of that number being armed terrorists.
