Served the community and the country for over 35 years.
Received the Lord Leiutenant's award for community service.
Risked his life for others countless times.
I am proud that my Father was a policeman.
Look into those kind eyes and tell him he should be ashamed!
@stueytheround pretty sure your cops aren't the arseholes that US cops tend to be. those that go into policing tend to have been the school bullies or have very authoritarian views.
we had a cop in town, very briefly, who had a British accent (North Umberland, i think). he was too nice though, so didn't fit in
@redenigma Possibly true. The above is in response to someone who said to me, knowing that I am British, that all cops should be ashamed to be cops.
@stueytheround not everyone acts like Americans... but most Americans think they do, because it's all *they* ever see. most Americans never leave their state, nevermind the country.
