I just listened to a Pink Floyd album I haven't heard in ages.
😱 I didn't like it!
So, fellow Pink Floyd fans, what's your
*least favourite Pink Floyd studio album*
????
Go!
@MPCavalier Oooh! Controversial 🤣🤣
Agreed on Endless River.
It's more Dave Gilmour's tribute to Rick Wright than a Floyd album.
@stueytheround You're only 6 yrs behind me! I remember buying it the day it came out (along with the new Jefferson Starship "Freedom at Point Zero"). Of course I was mesmerized by it for a long time, being young and finding my own musical footing. At some point - I turned on it - like I can't even listen to it anymore. I appreciate it's place in the rock mythology, but it works better for me as a presentation than as a music album.
@MPCavalier The movie is excellent IMO. The visuals give it a context that the album misses. It wasn't until I saw it that I really understood the autobiographical nature of it.
@MPCavalier
The Wall is top three for me but that might be due to my age.
I was seven years old when it was released and my Dad bought the copy I now own.
So it was hugely influential on my taste in music as a result. I love it. Every single note.
I suppose like all very influential music, part of its influence is that there will be as many who dislike it as there are who like it.
The folk who decided to make music "as different to that as possible" created amazing stuff.
