Today we visited SS Great Britain, I.K. Brunel's famous ironclad steam liner. The first of her kind to be driven by propellor rather than paddles.

@stueytheround Some connections to with her too, if memory serves? Was the screw built on Merseyside or was it just the shaft? And I think the maiden voyage was to NYC from the 'Pool wasn't it?

@BillyBones There was so much to see and do I couldn't take it all in. £22 for an annual pass and we *will* be going back. We didn't even make it into the "Being Brunel" exhibition. I think we probably covered a fifth of it in the two hours we had available. It's one of the best tourist attractions I've ever visited.
