Since somebody asked the question and I knew the answer, did you know that single ignition firework displays are available in low-noise/no bang varieties.

Doesn't negate the environmental impact of the waste product, but pets will be happier.

@artemis Yes. Drone displays are very expensive still, but lasers are much more affordable as is the software to create the displays. A small business could probably set up for a few tens of thousands and they would be in great demand.
