We often think we must go to a synagogue, church, etc., to find God. And sometimes, we feel disappointed when we leave our houses of worship and don't feel God's presence. And sometimes, showing up for prayer can often feel like an appointment. In this week's Torah portion, Vayetze, Jacob reminds us that God is everywhere.

As a Christian, I love to hear the Jewish interpretation of scripture. We Christians far too often misunderstand the cultural and historical context in which they were written.
