Here's the unsealed arrest affidavit for Nicholas Roske -- the man arrested near Justice Kavanaugh's home.

This is why doxing people in public is a very bad idea.

Lunatics.

@Render
So, I suppose doxing the children and grandchildren of GOP senators wouldn't be an ethical strategy to force changes to gun regulations?

@jurban Could you really live with yourself if doxing a child led to their death?

Forgive me @jurban but I really need to know whether or not the above was sarcasm or a strategy you have actually considered, because it's *really* bothering me that somebody might think that way.

@Render

@stueytheround @Render
I actually did.
You have made me think more deeply about it.
Forgive me the spontaneity of my toot.
The part I grapple with is that thousands of children are about to die.
What solutions do we have left?
Solutions are not always ethical.
Some shouldn't ever be implemented.
But, if you lined up 1000 children and said that they are going to die before 6/8/2023, how extreme would be our actions to stop it?
Is the certainty of death worse than a targeted threat?

@stueytheround @Render
Listening to the parents of Uvalde children-victims speaking to Congress made me go down this dark path.
What would sway those stone-cold hearts?

@jurban @stueytheround

"Sins of the father" or something along those lines.

Putting even more children in danger isn't going to solve anything. It will only makes things exponentially worse.

@Render @stueytheround
This is the more clear answer to my original post:
- The ends do not justify all means
- If the means are immoral, and even if the ends are for a greater good, the precedent is reinforced that all immoral means are to be implemented to achieve any ends that result in that greater good
- Additionally, it doesn't provide assurance that the ends are ultimately for the greater good
- This would unhinge some basic tenets of a stable society
- Doxing children unhinges society

@jurban
I understand, but I think you realise that it's a really bad idea.
Thanks for being so honest with me. I really appreciate that.
