I am becoming very comfortable with Audacity DAW at the moment and have just recorded another track, but I am not going to release it quite yet.
The time has come to create my first ever solo album!
I have enough songs already written for two or three albums so it's a case of studio time, patience and perhaps a little help from my friends here and there.
Wonderful Audacity is a good basic DAW (Digital Audio Workstation for those as wonder) - now, having said that, you may want to keep an eye open for when the Fork is finally ready (though that seems to be an issue, as I've not seen anything from https://fosspost.org/audacity-fork-needs-help/ yet) other than notes on GiTHub: https://github.com/tenacityteam/tenacity

@KyleL @stueytheround I’ve heard very good things about Reaper. I’m still using the last build of Sonar Producer personally, mostly out of habit. Still works like a charm. Eventually I’ll probably go to Ableton Live.
Honestly, if it works for you and continues to do the things you need it to do, it's good. I use a number of DAWs for different purposes.

Your friend is absolutely correct . Reaper is wonderful.
