So. You're talking with your partner about how wrong it is how we treat each other ( he was). He inferred that it can't be that bad because 'your face isn't covered in bruises.' What do you make of that?

@Tankgirl Serious answer. He's sort of right while being totally wrong! Many men (including me) can fall into the trap of thinking that not hitting our partner makes the relationship non-abusive. We are kidding ourselves if course. I think it is because men honestly don't want to be considered abusive so they sweep it under the carpet.
