We are autistic parents, adults, and young people. April is a tough month for us and other #ActuallyAutistic people. We are spoken over and marginalized from our own narrative. Stereotypes, myths, and inspiration exploitation are everywhere. Let’s confront some of that misinformation.

Autistic people spend Autism Acceptance Month, April, debunking myths and confronting harm. Meanwhile, platforms place ads on our work that promote what we’re confronting.

Stimpunks was forged in the quest for survival and educational inclusion. We had to roll our own education, because even the “all means all” of public education failed to include us. We’ve learned a lot along the way and present to you Stimpunks Space as the synthesis of our forced interdisciplinary learning.
It’s autism acceptance month.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit by and for neurodivergent and disabled people.
We exist for the direct support and mutual aid of neurodivergent and disabled people.
We provide mutual aid, learning opportunities, human-centered research, and living wages for our community.
We give directly to autistic people in need.

Changelog: Updated and New on Stimpunks.org for Calendar Weeks 11 and 12, March 2023
We made lots of changes to our front page in an attempt to retain the “bold, open, friendly, generous” & “cozy, playful, wonder-filled” & “cool, creative, inviting, joyful” feels while avoiding information overload that is way too much for many folks. We moved some stuff, pruned some stuff, & made more use of accordions to allow progressive information disclosure at the reader’s pace.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We serve fellow neurodivergent & disabled people so we can keep on living through the onslaught.
