@steveh281 As Dem House Leader? Dunno. Someone part way between her and AOC/the Squad ideologically (and with a whole lot of political savvy as well) would be a good choice right now. Pramila Jayapal, perhaps?
The Dems need to acknowledge their debt to younger voters in this election, but still need someone with House leadership experience.
@sanau I don't think they will hand it over to the progressives. Too many mods won't go along with that. It will be some other centrist
@steveh281 Adam Schiff is another possibility. He's more progressive than Pelosi but still fairly centrist, already very visible and has extensive leadership experience.
He also has a real gift for explaining complex topics in a way that non-political types can understand.
(But then, some might worry that electing a white guy to that position right now would send the wrong message.) #politics

@steveh281 Hakeem Jeffries (D) NY has been one rumor and one other that is an older man but I can’t remember his name. But, it’s speculation of course.
