@snyde21: My late uncle was a Coastie in the late 1970s through the 1990s and also an avid deep-sea fisherman and fishing boat captain after retirement. He had stories about that, not horror stories but certainly a few suspenseful ones in the mix. Some "dark vessels" fishing illegally are not nice when spotted.
