That's what PeePee says without regard for what that could do to people who may be named but not guilty of anything.

@bluesbaby @k_ratoncita If there is evidence showing their involvement, release the names and let them respond.

@smittycanada1 @k_ratoncita

if I understand correctly many that are named are targets or vulnerable. They aren't necessarily the bad actors. It's China's and India's governments putting pressure on foreign nationals.

@bluesbaby @k_ratoncita I don't understand what the problem is in releasing the details? If they are victims, they're innocent. That can he clearly articulated. I don't see the harm in shining a light on the details of the interference.

@bluesbaby @k_ratoncita Ok. But, witting conspirators need to resign and never be allowed to run again regardless. It needs to be non-negotiable. No details need to be given publically; but, it is serious national security threat to let them remain in office. They should not be allowed to circumvent accountability and consequences. Look at the shitshow in the US because of this type of nonsense. We don't need to be the sequel.

@smittycanada1 @k_ratoncita

We don't know that the parliamentarians identified are witting conspirators. They are more likely vulnerable targets. Identifying them could put them and CSIS assets in danger.

@bluesbaby @k_ratoncita Fair enough. But what about those who knowingly are involved? Do they just keep their seats and undermine our national security and democracy? There has to be a way to remove them. PP won't do it. Hell, wouldn't surprise me if he's one of them. He can't even get a security clearance. πŸ€”

@smittycanada1 @k_ratoncita

It's in the hands of the RCMP.

"The RCMP says it won't comment on whether there is an active criminal investigation into any parliamentarian. The police service did confirm there are active investigations into a broad range of foreign interference efforts in Canada, "including matters which intersect with democratic institutions."

@smittycanada1 @k_ratoncita

I should add that Canadian law makes it very difficult to prosecute using intelligence as proof. If I understand correctly, the system doesn't allow for info to be shielded from the public, so it's all or nothing.

@bluesbaby Thanks for your clear understanding of the situation here, much appreciated. Thanks for the info. @smittycanada1 @k_ratoncita

@Anemone @smittycanada1 @k_ratoncita

My understanding isn't 100%, so please beware.

The House and Senate can still do things through ethics committees, but I'm not sure how feasible that is if PeePee won't participate.

@bluesbaby @Anemone @k_ratoncita My understanding isn't great either. I'd think if something could be done though, it would have been.

@bluesbaby @k_ratoncita I don't have a lot of faith in the RCMP when it comes to parliamentarians.
