@TheNewsOwl It is such a complex issue. I understand his anger but it makes no sense to bring then in without Article 5 and with it, it would draw NATO into direct conflict with Russia.
On the flip side of the coin, not giving them membership until conflict over, provides Russia with huge motivation to continue the war forever. It is keeping Ukraine out of NATO.
Damned if you do, damned if you don't situation.

I think the strategy to bleed Russia dry over a long war is the least dangerous.
Amplifying it by having Ukraine join NATO could quickly escalate and still leave Russia standing, and capable, at the end.
