I'm so sick of public officials who say, things like, " ... we need common sense gun safety regulations. It's not about taking guns away from people"
YES, IT IS, AND SHOULD BE ABOUT TAKING GUNS AWAY FROM PEOPLE.
If people don't have guns, they can't shoot anyone.
There are more guns in America than people.
There is virtually no reason most people in our country should own a gun of any kind.
@sloudermilk If a child was hitting another child with a stick, I would blame the child and not the stick, but I'd still take the stick away from them.

I actually agree. I have never liked guns and I also don't like the idea of hunting with guns. Look at Japan and the UK. Only the police have guns. Except in Japan where a person has to jump through hoops to be granted a gun permit.
