I'm beginning to wonder if we shouldn't start over with a blank page to redesign our judicial systems. Or maybe we just need a LOT better method of qualifying judges for our court system.
It seems Trump is being given breaks, delays, and assistance from State and Federal; civil and criminal courts at every level.
The claim that "no one is above the law" is now reduced to a silly pretense.
America should be shamed and outraged.

@sloudermilk We do need to start over as much as possible. It's not just TFG getting away with stuff. The Carroll case should teach us that while we do want to protect the innocent, the victims should not have a higher risk of dying than getting their money or seeing the criminal locked up. Why it has become common place for these trials to take years is beyond me. Honestly, for the average person, dragging things out is likely worse for them in the long run too.
@TrueBloodNet
Agreed! 👏
@sloudermilk How do you think this is going to happen...
@BillieBun
I don't know. But I would think we first need National leadership to publicly admit the problem and open honest dialog. I would think POTUS and the US AG would spearhead this effort. SCOTUS should be involved also but, . . . ☹️
Legit criticism. Wealthy people always get breaks or delays to help them avoid consequences. Poor and working class go straight to lockup.
Think Merchan would jail Trump even if he gets a conviction? I have doubts. It will be years until all the appeals are exhausted.
@sloudermilk seems like a good time for vigilantly justice. That mf gets to keep his worthless property. Maybe that's why it was reduced, his stuff isn't worth shit.
@sloudermilk I don't know if it applies in this case but one of the biggest factors underlying decay of the judiciary is the Heritage Foundation. Seemingly a good faith conservative society dedicated to Constitutional originalism, they've revealed themselves to use originalism flexibly however best suits their partisan goals. Any judge appointed with their recommendation should be suspected of being unqualified and corrupt.
So in view of my criticism, it is only fair for me to give credit to New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan, who has nailed down a start date for the hush money criminal trial of Trump. He deserves credit for not allowing further delays which would help Trump campaign.
