I think this kind of dystopian crap is completely irresponsible. Is there no one in the film industry who realizes we badly need inspiration and hope, not pessimism and despair?

Everyone needs to go an see the Disney film, "Tomorrowland", and avoid Alex Garland and A24 Entertainment.

@sloudermilk They don't care about hope. They care about making money.

And I'm not sure we need any movies about hope. I think hope is what people do when they're not actually going to do anything.

We don't need to feel good about a movie. We need to change the world to one we can feel good about.

@CoyoteConscious I agree that we do need to act for change and the betterment of the world.

But when the entertainment industry is constantly shoving this view in our faces it's easier to believe it's inevitable and just shrug and sigh each time the MAGA politicians tear away a piece of our democracy.

@sloudermilk They're not your friend. They're the enemy. They're part of who profits by oppressing you. They're going to show you shows intended to quiet you down and extract money from you.

Your pusher probably won't sell you coupons to drug rehab, either.
