The building circus of media coverage of Trump's arrest in Atlanta is shameful.

There will likely be nothing of consequence to see, yet reporters are standing in 90 degree heat already. Cameras show cars passing by. Wow, how dramatic.

Mainstream Media, when you lament about the state of our country, don't forget to look in the mirror.

@sloudermilk

Media have lost all credibility. Now it’s about generating outrage, chaos & ratings instead of reporting news.

How I miss Tim Russert

@LnzyHou
Yeah. Big corporate ownership of media companies and allowing advertising on public service news broadcasts should be reexamined.

And I would like to see some type of certification of TV programs to be labeled "News".

@sloudermilk
They reported on the email lady, Pizzagate, umbrella-gate and even a tan suit. They reported it when a game show host tried to talk virology. They covered all his unhinged rallies. This may seem like some kind of alternate reality but the event is actually due to happen and it's making history. Now is not the time to go silent.

@Sr0bi
No one will "go silent", The fact that Trump surrenders for arrest can be reported without a camera looking at, basically, nothing for hours in the 90 degree heat.

@sloudermilk
Unless they expect him to maybe pop up between now and the target time. Are they preempting scheduled programs? Because yeah that would be kind of useless. Then again, piping hours of it into Fox would be poetic.

@sloudermilk

It occurs to me now that perhaps the amount and timing of coverage is because of the crowd size anticipated by team Trump. After all this is supposed to be like when the Romans persecuted Jesus, yes? So did the throngs of loving supporters fail to show up?
