I remember back in the "beforetime", when AT&T was a monstrosity in control of all voice communications, we used to joke by pretending to be the corporate voice and say,
"We don't' care. We don't have to. We're the phone company".
Today I can almost hear the chant from the MAGA crowd,
"We don't care. We don't have to. We're the Republican Party".
