No, you do not need to stop the momentum of a scene to immediately describe the new character who just entered.

You have plenty of time and space to detail them in bits and pieces over the course of the whole MS.

@sleepingbearcat If more characters came blasting through the walls, I think I would still be enjoying editing as much as I do coaching.
