My dad is a retired Astrophysicist; he studied galaxies.
He would like me to relay this #cososcience fun fact of the morning:
Spiral galaxies are the most prominent galaxies in the Universe that we can see.
Spiral galaxies are very massive, but most galaxies are much smaller, so they don't have that spiral shape.
The fact that our galaxy, the Milky Way, is a spiral galaxy means that we live in a massive galaxy.
