I’m now about 5000 words into my sequel. Chapter books for the 7-12 year-olds are typically in the 12-14k range.
Going well. And it is a good distraction jumping into another (made-up) world.
@realDDGlover do you have a publishing deal or do you self publish?
@sleepingbearcat My first two children’s picture books I self published because with my niece as the artist we wanted full control. But I have a publisher with my children’s chapter book. Now as per contract anything I write they can thumbs up or thumbs down in 90 days. If a no then I’d look at other options. But I think that this sequel is pretty good and they will want it.👍🤞😎
